László József Bíró (Hungarian pronunciation:[ˈlaːsloːˈjoːʒɛfˈbiːroː]; né Schweiger; 29 September 1899 – 24 October 1985), Hispanicized as Ladislao José Biro, was a Hungarian-Argentine inventor who patented the first commercially successful today's ballpoint pen.
